Andre contacted SkyGreen in April 2022, concerned about the usual rising power bills, but also with a growing concern about long-term stability of the power grid. Andre was particularly interested in some genuine energy independence. 

SkyGreen team member, Adrian, took Andre’s details into account, and recommended a largish solar power system and matching large battery set, with a specialized LG inverter set, capable of continuing operation during grid failure. 

SkyGreen conducted a thorough site assessment with a CEC qualified solar installer, following a detailed estimate by Adrian. The installation proceeded in June. 

Andre now has around 15kWh of useable battery storage, which is enough to power the average Victorian home for one whole day. During emergency conditions this will stretch to three whole days of grid independence, even with no sunshine.
